This recipe is a game-changer.
If you’re reading this, then chances are you also don’t own an ice cream maker and are probably like me in the fact that you’d really like one, except you also really don’t. Because I don’t know about you, but I’d be making ice cream every.single.day if I owned an ice cream maker. And that just wouldn’t be good for anyone ;)
So when I fell down the recipe rabbit hole of the Internet and found a similar recipe for no-churn ice cream, I knew I had to try it out. (I’ve since lost the original recipe I referenced, but a quick google tells me most no-churn ice cream recipes use the same base of heavy cream and condensed milk.)
And the result? Creamy, rich, honest-to-goodness ice cream with big Oreo chunks. Win! No one will believe you when you say you whipped this up without an ice cream maker! And the varieties are endless… Uh oh. I think I will be making no-churn ice cream every day for the rest of my life…
- 2 cups whipping cream
- one 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 Oreo cookies, chopped
- Whip cream into stiff peaks. Fold in condensed milk and vanilla extract, then fold in Oreo cookie bits.
- Freeze in a freezer-safe container for 6 hours or overnight.
